Research your races

First of all, read up on where you’re heading to.  Find out more about the dress code, as this is a great shopping starting point. Our Dress for the Races section offers everything from key trends and tips for winning big, to an interactive map of key races across the UK. With our help, you’ll find something you’ll look and feel fabulous in.

The Dress

For the races, it’s important to find the perfect dress.  It’s the one occasion you can truly go all-out, so don’t be afraid to step outside your comfort zone. Think bright pinks, bold floral prints and faux fur trimmings; fashion that gets you noticed.

If statement dresses aren’t your style, keep it oh-so feminine in pretty pastels.  Our Appliqué Trim Shift Dress offers a demure alternative to typical race day drama. Stunning and simple, the effortless silhouette and floral detail make it a head-turner.

Hat or no hat?

When in doubt, choose a hat, especially if it’s required as part of the dress code. Hats are a gorgeous finishing touch to any race day ensemble. Feather, beads, lace – whatever the style, we say the more extravagant the better. A favourite of ours is this Jacques Vert Floral Hat. Sweet and sophisticated, it looks lovely in the summer months.

Fascinators and headbands can work just as well. Simply find one to complement your outfit and you’re ready!

Bag Beautiful

It’s a long day at the races, so take a bag you can rely on. If you’re unsure how to complete your look or how to accessorise, try a clutch bag. They can really transform an outfit, as shown by this Box Clutch Bag. Practical, fashionable and affordable – its vintage feel exudes evening elegance. Just what you need to hold those must-have make-up essentials.

Heels or flats?

The age old questions remains, do you brave heels? If you’re worried about your feet hurting after a busy day betting, laughing and sipping champagne with friends, play it safe in flats. But we’ve found the perfect alternative – wedges!  Their chunky heel is a happy medium, offering added support, with the height and confidence of your favourite courts. Why not try some wedges on for size?
