January Detox Smoothies

Happy New Year to you! We hope you’ve been making the most of ladies fashion online what with all the amazing January sales – did you bag yourself any bargains from our website?  

We hope all your New Year Resolutions are going well – a popular resolution among our team was to make 2013 a healthy year, and we’ve been sharing our tips in the office about how to reach our goals. We’ve all been trying to detox this week and wanted to share with you some tasty detox smoothies that are helping us reach our healthy aspirations!

The Berry Nice Smoothie

We love this sweet, fruity drink and think it would make a great breakfast smoothie. It doesn’t take long to make either which is a plus!

You’ll need:

  • 100g blueberries
  • 100g blackberries
  • 50g strawberries
  • 1 banana
  • ½ a kiwi
  • A handful of ice cubes

Whizz this all together and enjoy!

 

The Green Machine

It took some time to get used to this smoothie but the benefits are just great – it’ll will kick-start your digestive tract, helping to get rid of pesticides and toxins, whilst giving you the Omega-3s your body needs.

You’ll need:

  • 1 apple, diced
  • 1 cup of kale
  • 1 stalk celery
  • ¼ cup of parsley
  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups of water

Blend together and enjoy; this is a great post-lunch smoothie.

 

The Cleanser

This smoothie includes just four ingredients so it’s really simple, quick and easy to make, and would be great after your evening meal.

You’ll need:

  • ½ watermelon
  • 1 papaya
  • ½ cup of beetroot
  • 1 tsp honey

Blend all the ingredients together with a handful of ice cubes and enjoy. This smoothie is rumoured to be really good for flushing out toxins in your bowel and bladder, which means you’ll feel cleansed in no time.
