BritMums Live: The Best Bits

Here at Kaleidoscope, we love nothing more than ladies with a passion for style, fashion and interior design. So what event could be more perfect than BritMums Live 2013? Even before we set foot inside The Brewery, London we knew that this year’s most anticipated lifestyle blogging event was going to be a resounding success; and it didn’t disappoint!

Bringing together influential media-savvy parent bloggers from across the UK, attendees spent the weekend conference socialising, networking and learning new amazing things about the blogging community.

Interested to find out how it went? We sent five of our favourite bloggers down to experience the event for themselves. Here are their BritMums best bits.

Sessions

We were very excited to see the sessions scheduled for BritMums Live 2013. With a whole host of talks and presentations planned across the weekend, there were lots to look forward to. Both Love Bryony and A New Addition couldn’t stress enough how excited they were beforehand, but what was the verdict once our fabulous five finally arrived?

Everyone seemed to gain a lot from the sessions. They provided an engaging insight into the ways Mum Bloggers can transform their posts, just by taking a different creative perspective.
Fashion Mommy is one attendee who really benefited from the experience. From the inspirational and heartfelt keynotes speech from Katie Piper, to the light and lovely session from Katie Hill, the ladies learnt a lot.

One of our gorgeous bloggers even took to the stage herself!  Treating audiences to a post she’d written about her experiences as a mum, Richmond Mummy wowed the crowd with her funny anecdotes and relatable tales of parenthood. It was one not to miss!

Personal Journey

A huge highlight for us was seeing the personal journey bloggers took during the weekend. Thanks to the variety of exhibitions and talks provided, they left the event more aware of blogging opportunities, full of great ideas and, most importantly, with lots of new friends.

An Essex Wife sums her experience up brilliantly, stating “I learnt that I am a travel blogger, I’m fond of wigs and that Kirstie Allsopp prefers to shave her legs rather that wax them”. What more can we say?

All in all, it was an absolutely amazing two days. Just ask Richmond Mummy…

“BritMums Live, how was it? – pretty bloody great it turned out!”
