Cocktails Inspired by Our Favourite Holiday Destinations
Are you counting down the days until you board that plane to jet off to sun-drenched shores? It’s never too early to get into the holiday mood. Take your taste buds on a vacation with our delicious summer cocktails, each inspired by one of our favourite destinations.
La Dolce Vita
Invented in Venice in 1934, the Bellini is quintessentially Italian; fruity, refreshing and elegantly simple. To make it, whizz four peeled peaches in a blender to create a puree. Spoon a portion of the mixture into a chilled champagne glass and top with Prosecco. Stir just before serving.

The Big Apple
No drink comes more infused with the spirit of New York than the Manhattan. You’ll need: Angostura bitters, vermouth, rye whiskey and crushed ice. Mix a generous dash of the bitters with one measure of vermouth and two measures of whiskey. Throw in a handful of crushed ice and – this is the important part – stir, don’t shake. Pour, and garnish with a maraschino cherry.

The City of Light
The Soixante Quinze, or the French 75, was created in Harry’s New York Bar in the heart of Paris during WWI. To recreate this classic, pour 45ml of gin, 10ml of freshly squeezed lemon juice and 5ml of sugar syrup into a shaker over ice. Top up with champagne, shake, and strain into a chilled champagne glass. Garnish with a twist of lemon rind.

Summer Luxury
Hotter than hot and oozing luxury, Dubai provides the ultimate setting for a glamorous getaway. Cooling fruity cocktails are popular for beating the soaring temperatures. Create your own by mixing bourbon, apricot brandy, pineapple juice, orange juice and bitters. This recipe comes straight from one of Dubai’s top cocktail bars.
Moroccan Nights
Mint tea is a staple of Marrakech; sold and sipped on almost every corner. Let the flavour inspire your summer drinks with this sweet, refreshing flavour fusion: shake ice and mint leaves in a shaker until the leaves are bruised. Next, add iced tea, lime juice and a dash of vodka. Shake well, pour over ice and garnish with a lime wedge and mint leaves.
