#KalByCat – Mothers Day Outfit

Posted In: Fashion

To keep myself out of the bad books after making non-Mum related plans on Mother’s Day, I couldn’t let the occasion go by unmarked so decided to treat my lovely Mum in advance.

Like mother, like daughter, she’s loves clothes and shoes and all things lovely, so she is a big fan of the Kaleidoscope range. As a little treat I decided to pick out a few outfits for her, to brighten up her wardrobe and welcome in the spring!

I bought her two new outfits and I can’t lie, I ended up treating myself at the same time!

1

My absolute favourite, favourite item was Mum’s simple cream jumper with the lace up back, I think I’ll be borrowing this from her! It is such a simple item in a neutral colour which would go with so many things in your wardrobe, and the lace up back adds a real touch of style and added interest.

Mum wore this with a lovely pair of skinny dark indigo jeans which were a fantastic fit. They’re made of a knitted denim which makes them super soft and comfy and they certainly looked  really comfortable while still looking smart.

My mum looks gorgeous in red so I couldn’t resist getting her this long line red jacket with a tie waist, it’s a perfect transitional piece. You can layer up underneath while it is still cold but it’d be great for those summer evenings once the weather picks up.

I wore the violet duster coat which I absolutely loved and will definitely be styling again with more of my wardrobe, it adds such a nice pop of colour and looks smart whilst being easy fit. I got the chance to wear my Kaleidoscope crop denim jeans too but still needed ankle boots in this weather. They will look gorgeous with some wedges once it gets a bit warmer, and it’ll show off the lovely frayed detail on the ankle. I teamed this with the longline white tunic, this is such a beautiful, feminine item, with its floaty asymmetric hem, I felt complete girly.

We couldn’t let a Sunday afternoon go by without a pot of tea and cake and good old catch up! Mum wore a classic wrap dress in a lovely jersey fabric and navy mono print, it was lightweight but with long sleeves so ideal for this weather. Mum said she felt really comfortable but also lady-like in this little number, it’s definitely a wardrobe staple.

I definitely can’t forget the gorgeous cream lace jacket she teamed with it. I think this would be so perfect to take on holiday, it’d be a great piece for those cooler nights, it looks so stylish and is really lightweight so just perfect for holiday packing. I even got her some cute red sandals and chunky gold necklace to accessorise.

Of course, I didn’t need any excuse to find myself a second outfit; it wouldn’t be fair if Mum got all the new clothes! So I found this beautiful green floral dress which made a stunning tea dress and has quite a vintage feel, I loved it! I teamed it with a pearl cluster necklace which set off the tea dress perfectly and tan mules which will be summer staple sandals as they look great with anything from dresses to jeans!

I  loved spending some quality time with my Mum and it was so much fun getting dressed up and catching up over tea and cake.
