You have warm colouring

If you’re lucky enough to have naturally golden hair, or have a head full of red hair in rich, coppery tones, you’ll have a wonderfully warm colouring, no matter what colour eyes you have. To enhance this warmth, you should choose colours that have yellow undertones; chocolate, moss, grey-green and bronze should be your go-to colours, as they’ll really make your eyes and hair stand out whilst giving your skin a healthy glow.

Build on these key colours with strong reds, orange-reds, oranges, coral, daffodil, cream, stone, teal and sage, and your capsule clothing colours will be complete, making every glance in the mirror a little confidence-boost! Make sure you avoid cooler colours, such as baby pinks, icy violet and colours with a blue undertone, as you’ll risk looking washed out.

You have soft colouring

If your hair colour falls somewhere along the light blonde to brown spectrum, you’re most likely to have a soft colouring. If this is what you’ve landed on using our Colour Guide, then you should invest in a few trusty colours that will complement your natural colouring. You’ll look amazing in stone, taupe, charcoal, light navy and pewter, so keep an eye out for these tones when you’re enjoying a spot of clothes shopping.

Don’t worry, you’re not limited to just earthy tones; you can inject a burst of colour into your wardrobe with cools greens, soft blues, teals and blue-purples. They’ll work well with light browns and soft white to add a touch of personality to your attire. It’s best for you to avoid very bright colours, as they’re most likely clash with your gentle colouring.

You have deep colouring

With dark brown to black hair, and brown, hazel or blue eyes, you’ll fall into the deep colouring category. This colouring is striking in itself, but the colour of your clothing will enhance your beauty even further! Make sure your wardrobe consists of black, charcoal, dark navy and taupe, as they’ll really complement your complexion. Bold colours will contrast nicely with these key colours, so choose bright blues, dark and bright greens and teals, dark purples and strong reds to add some colour to your palette, and you’ll look great in anything you pull out of your wardrobe.

It’s best to avoid wearing two light colours together if you have deep colouring, as this could make you look washed out.

If you’ve landed on clear colouring using our Colour Guide, then you’re likely to have dark brown or black hair, with contrasting light eyes in shades of pale blue, grey, topaz or greens. This is a striking look that works best with black, navy, charcoal, purple and royal blue, so make sure you update your wardrobe with these keys colours; they’ll brighten up your eyes and contrast nicely with your beautiful dark hair. There are many other colours that you can wear to enhance your look, with bright blues, greens, reds and pinks, turquoise, ivory, soft yellow and blush giving you a glowing complexion.

You’ll always be able to get away with bright, lively colours, so avoid dull shades as you’ll run the risk of looking washed out. Wear your vibrant colours with confidence and you’ll look and feel amazing every day.

You have cool colouring

If you’ve discovered that you have cool colouring, it’s best to avoid warm shades with yellow undertones, and stick with colours that will really complement your natural colouring. Choose cool tones with blue undertones to really make the most of your cool colouring. When you’re out shopping, pick out colours like charcoal, pewter, teal and spruce, as they’re sure to be an investment for your capsule wardrobe; they’re colours you can turn to time and time again that’ll make you look and feel amazing.

You also have room to play around with plenty of other colours, such as blues, purples, blue-greens, taupe and ivory. Add all of these colours to your wardrobe and you’re sure to look fantastic no matter what item of clothing you reach for in the morning.

You have light colouring

Light colouring is quite specific. Generally, if you have light blonde to blonde hair, and your eyes are pale blue, grey, light green or topaz, you’ll naturally have light colouring. With such a light and delicate look, light colours and pastel shades will suit you well and complement your perfectly porcelain complexion. If you want to add a few key colours to your wardrobe that you can always rely on, choose stone, taupe, cocoa and pewter.

These will work well as your base colours, and they can be brightened up with bursts of light greens and blues, pinks, turquoise, peach and light navy. You’re best off avoiding dark colours as there’s a possibility they could overpower you. So stick to your light colouring colour palette and you’ll look great every single day.
