Stylish grown-up dress for a formal occasion - the embroidered overlay fabric is heavy and has a quality feel. The muted gold of the underslip is less noticeable than in the catalogue photograph, so the overall effect is very much of a black dress, rather than a black & gold one. I teamed it with a statement black choker, gold shrug, and black lace clutch and heels. I'm a stock size 16 and the fit was good.
