evening sunset… listening to music and chatting to friends whilst taking in the warmth – we think we should move to Australia and do that every day!

Back to Blightly and thankfully it is our hard-earned time to enjoy the summer season and all of the parties it brings us. Whether it’s a smart BBQ celebration or a wedding that you’re off to this summer, you’ll be wanting some party shoes to dance in.

The main consideration when choosing summer party shoes is one of comfort and – unsexy word coming up – breathability. Yes, it’s an undeniable truth that our feet get hot (and sweaty) in the warmer months, especially when they’re dancing and walking about at a party. It’s no good putting on a pair of heavy suede courts and expecting your tootsies to be happy in the heat!

This season, luckily, features a lot of open-toed glamour, so you can combine comfort and style. The perennial gladiator sandal is still a favourite and is available this season in heeled versions as well as the beloved flat.

The gladiator style also has a new cousin – the open gladiator boot. These suitably named Heine Trendy Sandals are a fine example. Bang on-trend and comfy too, they look catwalk fantastic when teamed with a maxi dress and a cocktail. Your feet will love you!
