Opt for a lace dress – a tasteful party look

Together Stunning Lace Dress A Luxurious Lace Dress

During the festive season women all over the world wonder just how they can stand out from the crowd this festive season. With thousands of us having the same internal debate it’s difficult to be different when it comes to women’s dresses.

The Autumn/Winter catwalks this year were brimming with lace dresses and the trend is definitely set to continue into summer, so it’s a good wardrobe investment. Plus lace, like most trends, can be added in moderation or you can go ‘head to toe’ depending on how brave you’re feeling. We’re not thinking Madonna’s gloves before you head for the attic!

We took this on board and laced our women’s dress range for the season with the following looks:

  • Classic black
  • Neutral
  • Statement

Classic black lace - a reliable lace dress

You can’t go wrong with classic black; we all know it’s the most reliable colour and more importantly, the most flattering. Dresses are no exception to that rule! We love lace sleeves added to a fully lined dress to give a touch of skin exposure without being too revealing; or too cold for that matter! Simply pick a style that suits your shape and look out for the lace touches: sleeves, trims, hems and panels. Soon you’ll be standing out from the crowd, for all the right reasons.

Neutral lace – feminine dresses

We’re not referring to see through! Neutral tones create a fabulously feminine look with a vintage twist, like this Together dress. Wear a neutral lace dress with other neutral tones and dare to bring contrasting materials into the mix; try a silk or cashmere wrap for classic chic. This is the look that will transfer into the summer season and will be great for weddings and special occasions alike; just add a smart jacket with a flower pin.

Statement lace – bright dresses

For women’s dresses with a difference! Make an entrance this Christmas in head-to toe lace, with taste. Forget the 80’s look that instantly springs to mind; we’re talking a knee or floor length number in a stunning colour with a full lace over-lay. Whether you opt for a stand-out red or gorgeous gold; the over-lay will make you the focal point of any party.

Figure flattery - put lace in its place

The key is remembering what suits your figure and we know you’ve perfected this over the years. It’s easy to focus on fashion and forget your figure -flattering rules of thumb. If you prefer an a-line skirt to a pencil skirt then stick to this shape. Trends and fads aren’t a miracle solution to our body hang-ups (unfortunately!) so control the fashion, don’t let it control you.

Leave women around the world wondering, whilst you ‘embrace the lace’ this Christmas!

Let us know your thoughts on the return of this popular 80’s phenomenon.
